*To use the tracking calendar, mark a response according to the guide on each day you experience abuse. Over time, you can easily see the escalation to help you decide to leave. Many victims don't realize the escalation process since nearly all forms of violence are singularly categorized as "abuse". However, escalation in abuse frequency or intensity of assaults are key indicators the situation is becoming potentially deadly. This is your HUGE RED FLAG. When deciding to leave, don't announce your plans! Then, be sure to check out the "Leaving an Abuser" checklist to be sure you are prepared.
